PROJECT SUMMARY

Scope of work consists of constructing a wastewater treatment plant including a new influent headworks, a grit collector structure, grit pumping and grit dewatering building, a three channel oxidation ditch, a splitter box, two clarifiers, an ultraviolet light disinfection facility, a gravity sludge thickener, an aerated sludge holding tank, modifications to an existing aeration basin to convert it to an aerated sludge holding tank, modifications to an existing blower and sludge pumping structure, process equipment, electrical work including provision of a natural gas fueled standby generator, site work, site piping including a new wastewater outfall, paving, fencing, and related work. The new plant is being built within the site footprint of the old plant which requires interaction with plant staff to coordinate new construction with ongoing plant operations.
