Project Summary:

This project consisted of a new influent pump station, a primary effluent flow split structure, a blower building, oxic MBBR basins, new secondary clarifiers, a pumping and secondary disinfection building, a reuse water treatment facility, extensive yard pipe systems, and miscellaneous upgrades to existing processes. The Crow Creek portion of the project is rated for 7 MGD. A formal partnering approach was utilized.

Change Orders:

This project was bid as a base bid with six alternates. Two of these alternates were awarded with the base bid, three were awarded as change orders and one was never awarded. Nearly all of the change order amount ($5.4M) relates to the award of alternates after the base bid was awarded. The change orders also include a contractor recommended value engineering decrease of approximately $90,000.
